Course Overview:

Organizational leaders often have to sell their ideas or persuade others to act.  In this interactive and fun workshop, participants will learn to design their messages so that they appeal to the listener and move them to act.  In addition, the fine points of presenting with confidence will be shared and practiced.  Participants will leave the session with practical tools for making persuasive and confident presentations to groups of all sizes.

This program is designed for anyone who has the need to speak before a group and wants to be more persuasive.

• Avoid the ten deadly mistakes speakers make
• Analyze the audience for maximum impact
• Tailor the message to get attention and action
• Organize their thoughts so they are perceived as logical and knowledgeable
• Practice their presentation skills, in class and on their own
• Prepare visual aids that add interest to the message

• Ten deadly mistakes of speaking
• Audience analysis – What the speaker wants is not important
• Message construction – Putting together a message that persuades
• Handling the tough questions
• Using visual aids that foster understanding and build rapport
• Video-taped presentation practice and feedback
