Overview:
This highly interactive workshop helps organizations manage some of the most critical, yet challenging issues involved with employment. Through case studies and frank discussion, participants learn the intricacies of employment laws and how they relate to their daily role as workers. In addition to sexual harassment, issues including race discrimination, religious discrimination, and protected protest are addressed. As a result of the most recent Supreme Court rulings (Faragher v. City of Boca Raton and Burlington Industries v. Ellerth), organizations must have clear policies in place and regularly train employees on the policy. This workshop can be customized to meet this requirement for any organization.
Target Audience:
This workshop can be tailored to meet the needs of organizational leaders, managers and supervisors, and can be adapted to address the issues related to sexual harassment for an employee audience as well.
Objectives:
Participants can expect to:
Define what and why certain behaviors can be considered harassment or discrimination
Recognize the role they play in creating a “level playing field” at work
