| | Attracting, Retaining, and Motivating Today's Workers
Today's workers have changed and so have the
ways we bring them into our organizations and the methods
for keeping them around. This interactive and
practical session explores these changes and how
"best practice" organizations are developing
motivated and committed workers. Participants leave this
session with practical tips for getting top talent to join
their organization and for retaining them after they've
joined. |
| | Creating a Retention Culture in a Short-Timer's World
- Changing demographics, retirement enhancements, and a
lack of employment loyalty have created new challenges for
organizations desiring to retain workers for more than the
going average: 1.3 years. "Creating a Retention
Culture in a Short-Timer's World" explores current
retention realities and proposes four new cultures that
can be fostered to enhance retention. By creating a
culture of choice, a culture of balance, and culture of
development, and a culture of care, organizations can
increase the average number of years employees stay and
thus, increase the sense of loyalty in the workplace. |
| | Developing your Organizational Talent Managers and supervisors often neglect one of their most vital roles: coaching and mentoring their employees. Organizational leaders are links to retaining and developing the organizations staff of the future. This session will emphasize the importance of making talent development a regular part of the managers job, while presenting practical tips for how to accomplish this task. The focus is on preparing the current workforce to be more productive and flexible to meet future demands. |

Managing the Performance of Todays Workers: New Perspectives on Performance Management The traditional performance management cycle is still in vogue. Yet most organizational leaders have loads of excuses for why it is not implemented and reinforced within their organizations. In this session, participants will learn to use practical tools for simplifying their role as coaches and developers of their staff. The importance of frequent and specific communication related to performance will be emphasized in order to remind leaders about their job as performance managers. |
| | Building and Fostering Workplace Trust Trust and loyalty are becoming critical issues to todays organizational leaders. No longer do employees work for one organization their entire careers. The average retention of an employee is less than five years. Research has indicated that one reason for this change is lack of trust between employee and employer and vice versa. This keynote presentation offers eight tenets of trust that are the foundation of productive work relationships. In addition, these tenets will assist leaders and managers in building trusting work environments. |

Supervisors: Keepers of the
Organization's Future - Organizations are not the
same as they used to be. We are experiencing
significant changes in attitudes about work, which
impacts our ability to attract and retain workers.
New beliefs about the definition of "career,"
about the use of technology, and about the need to
balance work and lifestyle are impacting how we lead our
organizations. Whether you are a team leader,
supervisor, or manager, your job is to create a work
environment that meets the needs of today's workers.
This presentation offers five tips for ensuring your
organization's future and building commitment and trust
between leaders and employees.
